Speaker Series
  • The Convergence Accelerator Series features researchers and practitioners widely recognized for their contributions to knowledge graphs, knowledge engineering, and FAIR data.
  • Spatial Tech Talks provide an informal research forum for graduate students and faculty as well as local technologists.
  • The ThinkSpatial Forum features informal presentations that highlight theories, concepts, tools, and applications for spatial thinking across disciplines, including the natural and the social sciences, as well as the humanities.
Annual Events
  • spatial@ucsb.local is an annual poster display and plenary session bringing together users of spatial technology from academia and the private and public sectors from Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
  • Spatial Lightning Talks feature a series of rapid-fire talks on spatially-flavored topics. Presenters are allotted a maximum of three minutes.
  • Specialist Meetings bring experts from academia and industry together to discuss a specific topic in depth.

  • GeoEthics Summit Webinars, hosted in collaboration with the Association of American Geographers, focus on ethical concerns regarding geospatial data and information.
