The Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA), approximately 8 miles west of downtown Santa Barbara, is most convenient and is served by express airlines codesharing with the above airlines. For more info, see For participants arriving at the Santa Barbara Airport, taxis are available at the entrance.

For participants flying into the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), LAX is about a 2-hour drive from Santa Barbara and is served by most major airlines and rental car companies. As an alternative to renting a car, the Santa Barbara Airbus can transport you from LAX to downtown Santa Barbara. They offer discounted rates for round-trips and pre-paid trips. The driver can call a taxi for you to get to the hotel you will be staying at.

On the northern edge of the greater Los Angeles area, the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport (BUR) is also about 2 hours from Santa Barbara, with airfares usually comparable to LAX fares. See for more information.

Santa Barbara is also served by Amtrak, with convenient service from Los Angeles, the Burbank Airport, and San Diego. Both Santa Barbara and Goleta have stations Amtrak stations.
