Liangcun Jiang is a Ph.D. candidate from Wuhan University in China, where he studies Cartography and Geographic Information Engineering under the direction of Peng Yue. During his M.A. program, Jiang conducted research on (1) sensor observation service, (2) fuzzy spatial relation ontology, and (3) linked data discovery. His current research interests concern data integration and spatial computing in a collaborative Web environment.
Hosted by Werner Kuhn, Jiang will be visiting the Center for Spatial Studies between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017, holding office space at 3512 Phelps Hall. While at UCSB, he will be working on the spatial computing API based on the core concepts defined by Werner Kuhn. His visit to UCSB is made possible by funding from China Scholarship Council.
