Kazem Afradi is an Urban Planning Ph.D. candidate at the University of Tehran, visiting at the Center for Spatial Studies. During his visit, he will be working with Donald Janelle to research the spatial effects of the new generations of services as and devices that function based on Information and communication technology.

Before coming to UCSB, Afradi was a visitor at Technology University of Eindhoven (Netherlands). He holds a master’s degree from the School of Urban Planning at the University of Tehran. His research interests include urban technologies, smart city, activity-travel behavior, and the internet of things.
