Spatial@ucsb recognizes the importance of spatial reasoning (both geographical and non-geographical) in the research and creative pursuits of scholars from across the humanities and sciences and seeks to assemble resources that make explicit the role of spatial thinking in a broad range of disciplines. GIS Resources


The American Mathematical Society publishes Mathematical Moments, a series of posters (accompanied with MP3 files, podcasts, and web links) that capture the role of mathematics in science, nature, technology, and human culture. Covering topics such as Bending it Like Bernoulli to Sailing Faster, it is not surprising that most of approximately 100 entries invoke spatial (as well as mathematical) reasoning.
