Please join us for the next Spatial Technology Lunch on Monday, April 27, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm in Phelps Hall room 3512. This semi-regular series, hosted by spatial@ucsb, aims to promote discussion and interaction within the university’s spatial technology community.

Geography PhD candidate Yingjie Hu will present “Extracting and Understanding Urban Areas of Interest Using Geotagged Photos”, a talk and web demonstration. (View abstract [pdf].) Yingjie is a member of the STKO Lab and has held internships at Esri’s Applications Prototype Lab. His research focuses on the semantics of geographic information.
